Source information

AniWorld

Source language

German

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open any series on AniWorld extension
  2. Open any episode
  3. It throws a timeout-error

Expected behavior

Open the video and play it.

Actual behavior

When it tries to load the video-list by opening a video (or holding down the download button) it loads for a long time and eventually gives a timeout error. It automatically jumps back to the episode list.

Which app are you using?

Animiru

App version

0.17.2.0

Android version

Android 15 (OneUI 7.0)

Other details

This happens on multiple devices in multiple networks. It happens with and without VPN (ProtonVPN). It also happens with Google's DNS configured.

Streaming on the website itself (in a browser) still works.

I might have found a possible reason.

Currently there are only 2 hosters working with AniWorld in Aniyomi. Voe and Doodstream. (There's already an open issue for that).

For Voe I found out that you need to access a new domain (orbitcache.com) for the video to load. Without it the Video won't play. That wasn't the case before.

Maybe this isn't implemented so it can't find the video? But as I can't code (or read code) myself that's just a wild guess.

For Doodstream I just noticed, that the whole hoster isn't reachable. So, probably that would be the problem for this one.

Update: Voe seems to be working again, Doodstream is still down. So I don't know what the problem was here.
